How we work
β
T2S is a Covid company and we have grown our office structure with flexibility built in.
β
We work 5 days a week β but Tuesdays are our βwork from homeβ days. We believe this gives our staff some flexibility in their work/life balance and reduces commuting. Laptops are provided by the company which facilitates this flexibility.
β
Whilst working from home has benefits, we believe this needs to be balanced with how our staff collaborate. Creating an open-plan office, where everyone can hear everything, creates a positive atmosphere for shared learning.

Architecture is a collaborative profession. We believe that we should never stop learning β and an office-based work environment facilitates this learning more than working remotely.
Office culture
β
We are a social practice that arranges regular work outings to inspire a positive work spirit.
β
Our staff is encouraged to lead and take ownership of this, and other matters, to engender a Cultural Architecture of empowerment and responsibility. Our strong work structure creates a platform for our staff to excel by improving collaboration, efficiency, and skills.

Weekly meetings are arranged to discuss the week ahead. End-of-week meetings are arranged, more informally, to discuss the design progression of projects or the styling of our brands and output.
Having the right tools
β
At T2S we believe our job is to improve the skill set of our staff. Ensuring we have the correct tools to enable our staff to craft and design outstanding buildings, is fundamental to this belief.

We use NBS Chorus, linked to our Vectorworks BIM system, to output all of our technical information. We continuously look to invest in the best software and IT equipment so that the information we produce is always at the cutting edge of modern standards.

Regular CPDs are arranged, both remotely and in-house, led by our team, so that we are receiving knowledge from different sectors, as per RIBA guidance.

We are both RIBA and ARB accredited, and are registered as ISO 9001.

Training and skills improvement

T2S believes firmly in our team's career development so that they become better Architects, and people, at our company.

We have an excellent record for our Staff completing their Part III education, which is always paid for by T2S, with 10 days leave granted for in-practice training, as per RIBA guidance.

Regular training sessions are set up with Vector works tutorials, and NBS Chorus, to ensure the skills using that software are kept sharp.
