Victoria Road is another example of our on going relationship with the client Klara Homes. Following detailed discussions with the Local Authority, the proposals developed to accommodate 15 residential apartments and 800ft2 of commercial floor area.
An integral feature of the design is the recessed balconies, which help to provide privacy between the proposed accommodation and the surrounding built environment. This is further enhanced by brick panels which provide screening and create further visual interest to the facade design.
Solidity is created using a simple mass of buff brickwork, to match the local vernacular, on the 1st and 2nd floor. This appears to sit on a series of objects on ground floor to create simple diagram. This is contrasted using a grey brick on the ground floor base and upper floor, to act as a neutral background.
