Working at No. 89, within the Billericay High Street Conservation Area, the project required a careful balance between enhancing commercial potential and respecting the established character of its surroundings.

While the building itself is not listed, its context surrounded by heritage assets and traditional urban grain played a key role in shaping our design approach.

Through early engagement and design development, we were able to unlock additional value for our client by increasing both the number of units and overall NIA, evolving the initial concept into a more efficient and commercially viable scheme.
