This constrained site currently houses a garage. The client wants this be replaced and fully developed into a Community Space / Banqueting Hall on ground floor with residential apartments above.

Our design inspiration looks to echo the adjacent building, where a mansard roof configuration is used. We look to continue this facade to create a terrace effect, which is then terminated with the sculptured gable.

A gap is then created - akin to a traditional corner condition - with the terrace then turning the corner.

Corrugated cladding is proposed to echo the industrial nature of the area, with the pitched roof form applying a more residential language.
