Our client asked us to review the site in the heart of Tooting, where a recently completed extension of this existing building under delivered on the sites commercial and Architectural potential.

With retail on ground floor - a tenant is due to occupy soon - and residential on the upper floors, we looked to reconfigure the existing footprint to create an 'L' shaped form, demolishing the tired building to the side which is not used, creating an internal courtyard.

Access to the adjacent Market has been allowed for to connect it from Mitcham Road. This allows the deep plan block to connect with the surrounding roads on all sides.
